CEMCA : Community Women Broadcasters’ Master Trainer Workshop

Radio Active hosted the first Community Women Broadcasters’ Master Trainer Workshop organized by CEMCA from April 1 to 4, 2013. As a part of this phase, Radio Active conducted a cascade workshop for twenty-seven women broadcasters. The workshop was conducted by RJ Lavanya, RJ Manjula, and RJ Vimala who were trained during the Master Trainers Workshop. The second phase of the Community Women Broadcasters’ Master Trainer Workshop was conducted by Maraa on February 26-28, 2014. As a part of the second phase, Radio Active must produce and broadcast 16 radio episodes developed keeping in mind the framework of CLP. As of March 31, 2014, Radio Active has conducted a household survey in Kaveri Colony, Jayanagar, Bangalore, and also hosted six focus group discussions with girls, mothers, teachers, etc. The topic selected for the 16 episode series is ‘Sexual Health for girls between 12-17 years. Girls from the Byrasandra Secondary School, Jayanagar have also participated in the FGDs.
